Since I am not able to teleport myself into your home to help you select your bedroom wall decor, I am hoping that this page will have some useful information for you to help you get your designs going.
One of the first things to do, is to have a look at the color scheme that you are going to build your new look bedroom around. Then formulate your design ideas together and decide which wall is going to hold your feature. Your feature wall is your impact wall. This means than when you enter into the space your eye should meet the design with a WOW! AMAZING!!
Bedroom wall decor could be a simple paint finish. Select an opposing color by opting for a contrasting color. Look through the section on color and the color wheel for lots of information that could help you better understand which colors would be best to use.
The image above, right shows a fantastic wallpaper at the head wall which looks great in this space.
HINT: if you are going to add a shelf to the wall where your head would be as you sleep, make sure it is totally secure to avoid any ouch moments.
Above left, is an example of a chalkboard paint finish which is endless fun. You can draw and write messages on it! Cheap to do and highly effective.
The insert below shows another wallpaper finish to the main head wall. Stunning and adds height visually into the space.
The designs below show how easy it is to add a splash of color into your room by using the combination of artwork and accessories. The headboard on the right incorporates a mini bookcase. The books and simple mid-sized artwork hanging above the shelf, color tones blend in well to create a balanced and interesting look.
On the left, you can see a series of unframed photographic artwork in a high gloss finish which you could do by selecting your favorite photos and having them printed out, all at the same size onto fifteen millimeter foam board. Foam board is light in weight which means you can stick your artwork directly onto your wall.
You may select a seductive dark toned look for your bedroom wall decor similar to that you can see in the images below.
Below right shows the head wall paneled out using a leather wall tile. Looks like chocolate! Leather tiles look stunning however, they can be a bit pricy so bare that in mind when you are working out your budget. On the left, the walls have been finished using a specialized paint finish which create an aged texture and a rustic look. I love this look, but it is not everyones cup of tea.
Below are a couple of fun bedroom wall ideas for your room. The addition of the extra pillows hanging above the bed in the room on the left is an interesting distraction to the fact that the wall is leaning into the room. It looks pretty cool.
On the right the navy blue with the crisp, bright white creates a fresh combo into this well designed room. Reminds me of a priceless Ming vase. The pattern at the head wall is busy but compliments this space perfectly.
There are lots of options to choose amazing bedroom wall decor from. I would very much like to hear about some of your ideas.
