It was 1998, when I first discovered the modern, rubber floor finish. I liked it so much that I used it immediately for part of a design project I was working. Although the project was commercial, I have since used it in a variety of other types of projects to create areas of unusual interest. It was a success then and a relationship was formed.
The dining area below looks fantastic. The bright blue makes this room thoroughly modern and contemporary. In fact this look would be exceptionally intriguing as part of an Arabian interior design scheme or a contemporary Moroccan interior. UK traders, 'The Rubber Flooring Company' offer exciting ranges in a variety of style, color and accessories. Try to harmonize your design ideas between your floor and decor. What goes where is important to balance out color, texture, pattern and furniture. Keep using your mood board and make changes as you progress with your ideas that widen and grow. However, it is important to reach a concluding point where you are ready to stick to your design and go for it. Otherwise you may just trickle on and on, week after week without actually making any design happen.
Rubber not only looks good and modern, it is highly functional and practical too. Below are a couple examples of dining areas. Easy to clean up any mess!

The colorful kitchen below is a great example of how fun this flooring can be. There is a huge variety of finishes in rubber floor collections. The most popular version of this type of floor finish is formed into easy to lay tiles however, recycled rubber flooring is available in sheets as well as tiles.
It is no doubt that you have seen recycled rubber flooring in many commercial projects and perhaps you haven't thought of using it at home until now.
The bathroom on the right is an excellent example of a flat, smooth finished tile. Note how easy it is to identify the join lines. This is not an issue however, there are many tiles available that appear seamless. Choose whichever works best with your design ideas.
There are many benefits to using this kind of material and if you are Eco-friendly, then the recycled rubber flooring could be a great option for you.
GET RUBBERIZED:
So what are the advantages of laying a rubber floor and how will this contribute to my well-being?
Ok, in short:
Design Variety
There is such a large collection of style, color, pattern and texture to choose from.
Extremely Durable
It is a hard wearing, long lasting finish which is particularly suited to high traffic zones i.e. hallways. Easy to maintain and will not stain and is also dirt repellant.
Great Acoustics
The perfect choice for a games room, family room and music room as it is an exceptionally good material for absorbing sound. Even the sound of general footfall goes virtually unnoticed.
Non-Slip
What could be better for a play room than a non-slip floor that dampens sound and cushions a probable fall? Choose a textured option for a play area.
Impact
The finish provides a cushioning therefore, dropping a weight in a home gym for example, wouldn't be too much of a stress as it certainly wouldn't break like a tile or run risk of damage as a wooden floor finish.

To the right is an example of how simple it can look in a hallway.
This may be the perfect look for you however, it is not the design solution I would opt for. As much as I like using this type of flooring, I am not convinced that the hallway is the best zone to lay it in.
I would love you to persuade me otherwise so feel free to contact me to let me know your story.
I do very much enjoy seeing the colors gray and pink together. Great combo that never gets tired or boring. They are meant for each other!
Another thing to mention to you is that the cost can be on the expensive side, consequently be sure to clean it with the correct products to enable you to enjoy the benefit of its long life.
