Wall paper Ideas

What would interior design be without fabulous wall paper ideas to choose from? As a student and during the early days days of being a professional interior designer, I thought that wallpaper was fuddy duddy, old and done. In case you have never heard of the expression 'fuddy duddy', it means, stuffy or conservative. (Isn't that a great saying?)

I designed environments that relied on the functional space of the internal layout, clever use of lighting and simplistic finishes to create the final va va voom.

These days, I can call myself a wall paper ideas fashionista! The collections that are available are absolutely incredible and it is a joy to include them in interior design.

There are exciting ranges to suit everyone, so no matter which design style you prefer, you can browse through lots of amazing collections and when you have finalized your mood board with your ultimate design you can get going. The above image shows how a simple monotone pattern adds interest to a contemporary design scheme.

Both examples shown below have used wallpaper design to enhance the living room spaces. On the left, the large, blow up of a funky, modern damask pattern is perfect for the relaxed, contemporary room and on the right the furniture suggests a retro/50's interior design which the wallpaper suits perfectly.

Your home is your haven, so enjoy making it exactly how you want it. Therefore review the color section to help you understand color better. The rich golden and yellow tones shown in the below images are great examples of how classy this could look.

Large apartments or houses can occasionally be tricky to design. What I mean is, you have to balance out the relationship between the volume of space, furniture and finishes to make each room look fantastic. The bedroom shown below is an excellent example of how to make a feature out of a large wall. The wallpaper design is simple and elegant which is perfect with the monotone look in this room.

The tranquil tones used to create the bedroom spaces below are light, clean and soft. I am sure you would sleep very well in either room. Gather all your wall paper ideas together and enjoy designing your new home.

The lastest and greatest wallpaper collections can almost replace artwork. I am not suggesting to ditch your artwork, I am simply saying that the designs are so fascinating that they can make your walls look sensational. Below left is a very stylish stripe design and on the right the folds have been stiffened to form shelves. Both would look fantastic in a contemporary styled home.

Concrete would not look out of place used in industrial interior design, minimalistic interiors, contemporary and zen interior design. Below is a concrete looky-likey wallpaper design which is an awesome idea to try at home and then when you are looking for a change, it is easy to peel off and start again. This is a great option which is cheaper than the real deal and looks pretty cool as an design impact wall.

One of my most favorite spaces to design is a kids bedroom. I absolutely adore creating a magical space for a youngster to enjoy and be thrilled about. Get inspired and create a truly fabulous design for your kid(s). Let your imagination flow. It is not that difficult when there are so many interesting and beautiful wallpaper design ranges available. Choose wallpaper, choose well and get going.
